According to the Apple’s developers-dedicated website, the newest version of Apple’s mobile operating system (iOS 9) is now installed on 66 percent of all iOS devices.
As a reminder, we already wrote about the adoption rate of iOS 9 during its first 24hrs, since Apple made headlines by saying that iOS 9 reached the 25 percent mark of all active iOS users in just under 24hrs. In addition, iOS 9 adoption rate had hit 57 percent in only three weeks after its release.
Today, Apple’s newest version of this operating system is installed on 66 percent of iOS devices. In addition, the rest of the iOS distribution is made up of iOS 8, which is not on 25 percent of iOS devices, as well as older versions of Apple’s mobile OS, which are on just 9 percent of devices.
In comparison to the last year’s iOS version (8.0), it would appear that iOS 9 has a much higher adoption rate, but it also brought more features as well.
