Apple Announces Apple TV-Focused Tech Talks Across Ten Cities

Apple has announced that it will hold Tech Talks for developers across ten cities around the world, in order to guide developers towards developing for tvOS.

Differently, from Apple’s well-known developer conference, called WWDC, which is being held in San Francisco, the company sometimes holds Tech Talks around the world. Since Apple TV’s App Store has been launched several months after WWDC 2015 and long before WWDC 2016, this is the opportunity for developers to get to know tvOS a bit better and well as how to develop and design for this newly introduced platform.

Registered developers can request to attend one of the upcoming Tech Talks with the registration deadline set for November 13th, at 10 am PT.
Here is the full schedule:

• Toronto 12/7/15
• Los Angeles 12/10/15
• Austin 12/14/15
• Seattle 12/16/15
• Cupertino 12/17/15
• Cupertino 12/18/15
• Berlin 1/8/16
• London 1/11/16
• New York 1/12/16
• Tokyo 1/21/16
• Sydney 2/3/16

Interestingly enough, the schedule for each day covers various areas of Apple TV app development:

8:00 AM Registration
9:00 AM Morning Sessions
Start the day by exploring tvOS and the capabilities of the new Apple TV. Learn about designing apps for tvOS, implementing focus-driven user interfaces, integrating the Siri Remote and game controllers, leveraging TVML for media apps, and enabling On-Demand Resources.
12:00 PM Lunch
1:00 PM Afternoon Sessions
Dive deeper into technologies for graphics and gaming, media streaming and playback, personalized Top Shelf content, and best practices for design. Learn how to optimize your tvOS app and get practical guidance about deployment.
5:00 PM Reception
Meet with fellow developers and Apple experts for engaging and inspiring conversations. This is a great opportunity to make new connections, share your ideas, and get inspired.

Apple noted that registered teams with apps on the App Store will be prioritized. Last time Tech Talk sessions were held was in 2013, shortly after iOS 7 was published.
