Apple seems to be planning a March 2016 event to unveil the next generation Apple Watch, in addition to a new iPhone 6C, according to sources with knowledge of the plans.
As numerous rumors showed during the last six months, Apple began to develop technologies that can be used in the second-generation Apple Watch. The company has been working on a new camera, sleep tracking, and health sensor technologies for the wearable device, but it’s can’t be said that all of these technologies will be implemented in the next generation Apple Watch.
It is also believed that Apple will introduce the iPhone 6C with a smaller 4-inch display. Numerous iPhone users expressed their opinion about wanting to have a smaller smartphone, where the 4.7-inch iPhone6S Plus seems to be too difficult for use with one hand. However, it is expected that the iPhone 6C would bring specifications that would fall between the iPhone 5S and iPhone 6S. Some of the possible features, aside from the 4-inch display, could be the next-generation A9 chip, Touch ID, and metal casing as well. In addition, we already wrote about how the next iPhone generation should look like, which can be read here.
Interestingly enough, this would be the second March event in a row for Apple, which is a shift from holding the major events in the second half of the year. At last year’s March event, Apple introduced the 12-inch MacBook, the ResearchKit iPhone framework, as well as the final looks and specifications for the Apple Watch.
