According to the Silicon Valley Business Journal, Apple has signed a lease for a 770,000 square foot campus to be built in Sunnyvale, California. The new campus is in close proximity to Apple’s “spaceship” campus, that is currently under construction.
The publication states that Apple inked a deal with Landbank Investments LLC to occupy the firm’s Central & Wolfe campus. Even though terms remain unknown, it is believed that Apple chose to lease the development, where the Sunnyvale campus could be built.
A website is already set up to showcase approved building designs, and we can see that Apple’s 3,000 employees can find their new workplace in an organically shaped building. This goes well with the company’s eco-friendly image since the building features vast open spaces, walking paths, and a central courtyard populated by local flora.
Concrete constructions plans are not available at the moment, so it is not known when Apple plans to move in. In the meantime, the construction of Apple’s “spaceship” campus is progressing well, and we can already see architectural plans come to life. Below are images of the “spaceship” campus.
